In Gestalttherapy you are supported to develop more awareness of your patterns of relating. Together we will explore how your behaviours have developed and are maintained. In the process of a genuine dialogue between you and your therapist, you become aware of behaviours which are useful and those which hinder your wellbeing.
Gestalt is an awareness practice in which present sensing, feeling and acting are emphasized over analysis. In Gestalt practice, explanation is considered less reliable than direct experience. Gestalt focuses on what exists here and now.
Through here-and-now experiments, awareness is enhanced, and you discover your capacity for self-regulation and self-responsibility. You will learn how to use your internal and external awareness so you can become more self-supportive.
Introductory session
I will be pleased to arrange an introductory session for you to experience how I work. During this session we will discuss what your issues are. This session is without any obligation to continue.
Sessions can be planned during weekdays (including the evening) and during the weekend. If required therapy can be at your home or office.
